right now the XMLDB Proxy will be used for persistence only.
But we could imagine using the proxy for other needs as well.
The next goal is to run Xindice ebedded so that no one need to care about
installation and so.
Another idea could be that a users client can open and run own
collections.
Using the XMLDB of rthe client queue has been discussed but may not be a
good idea due to performance issues. We'll see.
Kimbro Staken from Xindice is working on a new ebedded server right now.
(You may have read alredy) which uses XML-RPC for Client-Server
communication (CORBA becomes obsolete, probably)
