Kimbro Staken from Xindice is working on a new ebedded server right now. (You may have read alredy) which uses XML-RPC for Client-Server communication (CORBA becomes obsolete, probably)
Dommage, Corba is so faster than xml-rpc ! But xml-rpc is very very easyest to use ;o)
