Hi Nelson,

I'd like to have a Webservice to login an subscribe users. Is it possible for the server (i'm using the embedded server) to login an register callbacks for a remote client? Instead of the client doing this
himself?
Yes, you can do this but you need to know the callback address of the
interested client. We call this feature 'delegate subscribe'.
see

http://www.xmlblaster.org/xmlBlaster/doc/requirements/engine.qos.login.callback.html

If you want to let this be handled by the server jvm I suggest you to use a plugin client using the local protocol.

This was the scenario we had with .Net.. there were Webservices to provide the frontend to users... then .Net remoting would be used to provide assyncronous callbacks.

Am I understanding you right ? Would you write a WebServices client to make xmlBlaster act as a webservices provider ?

Hi,

Can i provide a WebServices frontent to subscribe user to a given topic?

Users would invoke a WebService stating their address, protocol to be used, callback funtion and corresponding topic and the servr would then perform their login and start sending them the messages they subscribed using the callback.

I'm not really sure of the benefits of using WebServices for this.. but this is a requirement. XmlBlaster is used to provide Assyncronous behaviour for the clients...
