You can switch off all protocols you don't need in your
$HOME/xmlBlaster.properties.
If you for example only use CORBA you can
further reduce the thread pool in jacorb.properties.

If you do a

  kill -3 PID

where PID is the process ID of your java running xmlBlaster
you get a dump where most threads have a name.
You can decide which you configure away.
